Redeem signs recycling partnership with Daily Record and Sunday Mail

Redeem, the Scottish-headquartered mobile phone recycling specialist, has announced a new partnership with leading Scottish newspapers Daily Record and Sunday Mail.

The deal provides the papers’ 1.9 million weekly readers with a chance to generate cash by recycling a wide range of small handheld electronic products at cash4gadgets.co.uk.

Readers now have the chance to recycle multiple products, including mobile phones, satellite navigation systems, MP3 players and digital cameras in exchange for cash.

Readers are regularly being encouraged to visit the website to find out how to return products and to establish how much cash they can receive in return for old devices, in some cases paying over £260 for various devices.

Jamie Rae, chief executive of Redeem, commented: “This is a significant media partnership for us, joining forces with the most widely read daily and Sunday newspaper in Scotland. Redeem now offers a specialised multi-product recycling service which gives Daily Record and Sunday Mail readers perfect opportunity to generate cash easily and quickly.

“It is also important to encourage people to think about the environment and this is a great way to do just that. Being able to offer readers the opportunity to recycle responsibly and earn cash at the same time is a win-win situation for all.”

When readers recycle with the Daily Record or Sunday Mail, they will also be helping charity too, with £1 from every device going to the Elizabeth Montgomerie Foundation. The charity was set up by Scottish golfer Colin Montgomerie to help support those affected by cancer.
