Reseller News: G3 Gets an Advert for IP Telephony

London based reseller G3 Telecommunications has secured an IP Telephony solution and software applications for Lowe Worldwide in its UK headquarters in London. Working on an Avaya platform G3 has installed a converged, wireless IP network to improve communication and support its flexible workforce to deliver better service to clients.

Recently, Lowe Worldwide moved its UK headquarters from Knightsbridge to Sloane Avenue in London. To make a smooth transition to the new site and improve the quality and flexibility of its communication, the decision was made to implement a new converged, wireless IP network.

In addition, by migrating to a converged network, now Lowe Worldwide is able to reduce management costs. These management costs include re-routing or setting up numbers when new employees join or new client teams are set up, as well as to support desk moves and the addition of new software applications.

Adam Morrison, European IT Director, Lowe Worldwide said, “As one of London’s leading advertising agencies, we work on many award winning campaigns –Our new IP telephony network provides us with ease of global communication and is flexible enough to meet all of the demands that are thrown at it. We now have the flexibility for employees to work remotely, whilst also being able to easily expand the network in the future.” He continued: “By using wireless IP, our employees are no longer tied to their desks. We can bring clients into our bar for demonstrations and meetings on laptops, and our employees can work remotely or on the roof terrace – and literally do ‘blue sky thinking’.”

Buddie Ceronie, vice-president for Avaya in the UK, Ireland and Southern Africa said: “Lowe Worldwide operates in a highly competitive market where image and ability to compete are everything. By choosing IP telephony Lowe Worldwide is using communication technology as a differentiator, giving employees faster, more flexible access to information wherever they are whilst simultaneously delivering a better service to clients.”

The contract was won as part of a competitive review between G3 and two other companies. The decision was made to standardise on an Avaya converged communication network because of the company’s leadership in IP telephony and its ability to support Lowe Worldwide’s flexible workforce, as well as the overall value for money demonstrated by the proposal.

G3 is providing ongoing maintenance for the communication infrastructure and is working with Lowe Worldwide to identify applications that will help the agency gain further benefits from IP telephony.
