Rittal’s New System Configurator for Subracks

Faster delivery times can now be achieved for Ripac customised subracks. This is made possible by a new system configurator, developed in cooperation with Rittal's "Mind8" subsidiary. Rittal customers can easily use the software’s user friendly graphical interface to create their own subracks and accessories.

An intelligent plausibility test in the configurator recognises which combinations of components are possible and/or allowable. A checklist runs through during component selection and together with vivid graphics helps to ensure that no components are forgotten for a customised and working subrack.

Once configured, the system automatically determines the order numbers, which the customer can then employ to request the subrack from Rittal. The user can also be shown a 3D view of the subrack by loading the Ricad 3D model from the configurator.

Rittal offer a broad range of products in its subrack sector. The Ripac products can be used in a wide range of applications from elementary frames to those that require the installation of more complex and robust equipment, as well as providing EMC solutions.
