SaaS Vendors Boost Sales with CA Technologies

Cloud
CA Technologies has announced the CA Security SaaS Validation Program to help Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) providers boost sales and customer adoption while enhancing security for their SaaS-based applications.

Part of the company’s Technology Partner Program, this new validation program provides a quick and easy way for SaaS providers to create and confirm standards-based single sign-on (SSO) interoperability between their offerings and CA SiteMinder and CA CloudMinder.

As enterprises increasingly deploy SaaS solutions, they need to be able to integrate them into their existing SSO environment to maintain a good user experience and consistent security across applications and SSO sessions.

"Dropbox is excited to work with CA Technologies to offer sign sign-on functionality to Dropbox for Business customers around the world," said Ari Friedland, head of Business Development, Dropbox for Business. “Having validated the interoperability of CA's SSO solutions, we look forward to providing our users with seamless access to their Dropbox for Business accounts."

Documentation created during the validation process can be used by customers to quickly integrate SaaS solutions with CA SiteMinder or CA CloudMinder SSO in their own environment. Support for standards such as SAML, WS-Fed and others help make the integration and validation with CA Technologies SSO offerings seamless.

"Customers depend on our simple-to-use, powerful SaaS tools for collaboration and data sharing to run their business," said Matt Lull, managing director, Strategic Alliances, Citrix. "The CA Technologies Security SaaS Partner program provides checkpoints in the integration and validation process that help them in delivering a seamless experience to our joint customers."

For convenience, the integration and testing aspects of the program can be easily completed by SaaS vendors in a self-service environment hosted by CA Technologies, or it can be done with assistance from the CA Technologies partner team. After official validation by CA Technologies, interoperability details are documented in a runbook that outlines a repeatable, step-by-step integration process, along with key tips and troubleshooting guidance.

“Making security as strong and simple as possible for our customers is our top priority. Ensuring seamless integration with our federated single sign-on capabilities, and the leading SaaS applications used by enterprises is one way we’re making user access more secure and simplified,” Lina Liberti, senior vice president, Security product management, CA Technologies. “Our thorough validation process takes simplification a step further by providing runbooks with tips and guidance for partners and end users, and by providing an environment that allows partners to self-test.”
