Networks & Network Services
Samsung Electronics, a mobile phone provider, has announced the expansion of its Galaxy Family with the introduction of four new smartphones to the range; the Samsung Galaxy Ace, the Samsung Galaxy Fit, the Samsung Galaxy Gio and the Samsung Galaxy mini.

Following the global success of the Samsung Galaxy S, which has sold 10 million devices in just seven months, each of the new handsets offers something different so there is a Galaxy smartphone for everyone.

All the devices offer limitless entertainment possibilities via more than 100,000 applications from Android Market and Samsung Apps. Each device also features Samsung SWYPE for quick and easy text input, and benefits from Wi-Fi connectivity and Social Hub allowing people to view their contacts, social networks, IM and email together in an integrated one-page layout, keeping them constantly connected.

Simon Stanford, Managing Director, Mobile, Samsung UK and Ireland said: “Following the phenomenal success of the Galaxy S and the growing popularity of Android, we wanted to make the smartphone experience accessible to a wider audience through an extended portfolio. With the Galaxy Family now offering a complete range of smartphones, combining excellent hardware technology and the latest operating system, as well as engaging interactive content, we firmly believe there is something for everyone, irrespective of whether it is their first smartphone or their fifth.”

In addition to the four new devices, Samsung has also announced the availability of a new free entertainment bundle for anyone buying a Samsung Galaxy S from 1 February until 31 March 2011. Designed to keep even the biggest film buffs and gamers entertained, the handset will come with a choice of three top movies from the Samsung Movie store and six of the latest games from GameLoft. Now also featuring Froyo, Galaxy S owners can enjoy an even faster performance when they’re browsing the web and access to even more apps than before, including GoogleMaps in 3D. It’s just as easy for existing Galaxy S owners to upgrade their handsets by using online video tutorials on how to upgrade, making the process easy and simple.
