ScanSource Communications Europe Educates Channel on Avaya Release 6

As part of its continued commitment to the channel, ScanSource Communications Europe has delivered a series of hugely successful ‘Deep Dive’ Avaya Release 6 seminars. ScanSource say they understand the importance of good communication if resellers are to be able to maintain their competitive advantage and with this in mind the distributor ran ‘Deep Dive’ seminars in Huddersfield, Strathclyde and Guildford in February.

The focused sessions, ran in conjunction with Avaya, covered the new Avaya Support Service package and the latest release (R6) for IP Office, including its new features and applications. Craig Beveridge from IP Integration explained, “This was a real opportunity for us to see the new Avaya Release 6 software features as well as meet with ScanSource Communications and Avaya staff. Thankfully the day had been designed so that it wasn’t death by PowerPoint and the ability to see applications demonstrated really made the difference.”

The seminars allowed ScanSource Communications to address over 180 Avaya resellers in less than a week. “We had an amazing response to our Release 6 road shows,” said Jim Robertson, ScanSource Communications Business Development Director. “ScanSource is absolutely dedicated to working with its reseller partners and helping them to maximise every business opportunity. Understanding the products and their positioning in the market is key to every reseller and that is why we will continue to deliver educational sessions into the channel.”

ScanSource will be running Avaya SME Technical Sales sessions, featuring IP Office Release 6 in March and April 2010. These workshops are a combination of technical information and sales positioning and are aimed at sales, presales and engineering personnel within the Avaya Business Partner community. The workshops will be delivered using PowerPoint material, hands-on equipment and applications and interaction between all the parties present. The key element is discussion and shared experiences.
