Mobiu, the portable office solution designed by The Key Revolution, is launching and available from early July. The SIMAssured chip and pin device enables tamper proof access to files, data and applications from any online computer running Windows XP and Vista, leaving no trace behind, and with the ability to ‘remote kill’ the device if it is detected on an online PC, preventing unwanted third party access to information.
Mobiu is an USB device that stores all the software required to remotely access documents and holds a SIM for secure user authentication. This first release provides a PC backup service to the Key Revolution secure online vault. Documents in these “MobiVaults” can then be opened, modified and saved without leaving a ‘footprint’. File sharing and collaborative working is easy using the shared workspaces or “MobiRooms” with a starter pack of 5 GB of secure storage provided per Mobiu subscription.
Mobiu represents a valuable new revenue opportunity to resellers at a time when businesses are focused on both cost saving and improving productivity.
Adrian Burholt, CEO of The Key Revolution comments, “Mobiu represents a breakthrough in portable computing for small and medium businesses, remote workers and consumers alike. Users can now truly experience mobility without having to be concerned about security or leaving important information on the remote or borrowed PC. Furthermore, if they are a small business, they no longer have to go to the expense of installing a costly remote access solution. Mobiu will transform productivity as the user can access all their files anywhere in the world cost effectively realising the type of mobility previously only enjoyed by corporate companies with a large IT spend”.
Mobiu costs £135 plus VAT including the device and first year’s subscription to the MobiVault file storage and MobiRoom collaborative workspace access services.
