Security and Video Focus from Wick Hill

At Convergence Summit South, VAD Wick Hill will be focussing on smartphone security solutions and a new breakthrough in low-cost videoconferencing systems from Panasonic.

Research shows smartphone sales rising rapidly, but smartphone security lagging behind. Security for this rising tide of smartphones is an enormous untapped market offering major sales opportunities for VARs.

VAD Wick Hill will be advising VARs on the benefits of smartphone security and how to sell it, as well as demonstrating the latest solutions. These offer features such as anti-theft and anti-virus protection, encryption, and the ability to remotely connect to a device and protect it, if the device is lost or stolen.

The company will also be showing Panasonic’s new breakthrough inexpensive video- conferencing system, which brings video-conferencing technology within the reach of a much wider range of businesses, allowing them to improve productivity, cut on travel costs and adopt a greener solution.

Panasonic’s system combines simple installation and ease-of-use with low bandwidth requirements and a low price, to create a winning combination. It benefits from extremely impressive video and sound quality, normally only found on much more expensive systems.

Wick Hill is also part of the panel in one of the presentations for the Convergence Summit Seminar Programme at 2.30 on Tuesday 4th October in Theatre 2. The topic is ‘How to sell IT/Data and Mobile Security.’
