Siemens announce Datasharp as Distributor at Annual Event

The timing for the annual Datasharp Principals event could not have been better. Principals from every member of this leading Group of telecoms companies gathered at the St Pierre hotel in Chepstow to hear about the latest developments within the organisation and most significantly - with Siemens distribution. Leon Mangan, Siemens Sales Director, followed his planned presentation by announcing that Datasharp had been selected to be a distributor for their products.

“At Siemens we recognise the value of Datasharp's expertise and knowledge in the field of telecoms. The relationship we have built up over 20 years with Datasharp together with the value of their expertise and the feedback we received testing products together made them the perfect distribution partner. Allan Williams who heads their team of technical support has attained the highest possible accreditation from Siemens and at some stages has been the only person outside Siemens organisation to have achieved specific qualifications. Business is so much more enjoyable with people you know, like and trust.

They have won the Customer Care Award consistently year on year and are our 6th largest global dealer. With these credentials, when we were looking at streamlining distribution we knew we wanted to maintain our strong links with Datasharp and so approached them with the distribution idea.”

“The timing was perfect” said Roy Carter Datasharp MD, “All the principals in one place with Paul McIntosh, Datasharp CEO, Leon and myself on hand to answer any questions regarding the distribution status. The conference was a complete success hailed as the best yet. Our ability to operate as a distributor was never in question as we have been distributing Nortel products to our resellers for around four years. We believe this is a fantastic opportunity that will ensure our continued growth and success vital in today's changing market.”

Paul Fullman, Operations Director, has introduced training and testing programs aimed at providing independent evaluation of new technology to ensure we have the right level of support needed in today's fast changing World. Prior to joining Datasharp 6 years ago Paul used to lecture at Cornwall College for many years teaching Computer Systems and Networking courses as well as Cisco and Microsoft Academy programs. New partners can benefit from the well established in-house training facilities on a variety of courses tailored at providing the depth of knowledge vital for today's communications professionals.

Recently appointed Dealer Manager for Datasharp, Kayleigh Ellis confirmed, “I have worked with Datasharp for many years as their account manager and I am so excited to be on board with them now as what they have to offer other Siemens Dealers is second to none. I look forward to meeting with current Siemens Dealers to explain to them the massive benefits of being a part of this group whose huge buying power in both hardware and network services provides a clear advantage to all members of the group.”

The theme for the Datasharp conference was 'the changing World of communications' and the message that rang out loud and clear is that we are ready for this change and are set to meet the challenges and take advantage of the opportunities presented together with our partners.
