Siemon Equips Installers with Firepower!

Network infrastructure specialist Siemon has just held its bi-annual Certified Installer (CI) event and finished the day with a quad biking and clay pigeon shooting contest.

The purpose of this channel event was to update Siemon’s installer partners with the latest information from the company on sales growth, global positioning, end user market strategies and to unveil new products.

New products shown at the event included Siemon’s fibre cable range and a new line of pre-terminated copper trunking cable assemblies. The copper trunks are available in all three of Siemon's 10GBASE-T solutions, including 10G 6A F/UTP, 10G 6A UTP and category 7A TERA. The company also offers System 6® UTP pre-terminated trunking cable assemblies for support of gigabit applications.

Siemon’s UK Channel Sales Specialist Graeme Stoker said, “We are extremely proud of the exclusive channel relationships we have in the UK and this day was an opportunity to thank our installer partners for their ongoing support and dedication. We have seen rapid sales growth of our F/UTP category 6A and TERA category 7A systems and our UK CIs are promoting and installing these solutions across a multitude of vertical markets.”

The event was held at Priory Farm in Redhill, Surrey, which has special facilities for all sorts of outdoor activities. Four teams of installers and Siemon staff competed to race round the quad bike obstacle course and were then ‘tooled up’ with shotguns to see how many clay pigeons they could shoot down.

“It was a great day,” concluded Graeme Stoker. “Prizes were awarded to the fastest drivers and sharpest shooters and it was a memorable thank you for considerable business growth.”
