Simfonics and LogNet Systems announced that Simfonics has expanded its customer base of mobile operators using LogNet Systems’ billing platform as a part of its solution for Machine-to-Machine (M2M) services.

Simfonics provides a managed service delivery platform for mobile operators to rapidly offer M2M services. The solution supports a growing range of M2M applications, including metering, remote maintenance and control, tracking, inventory, point-of-sale and payment.

The customer management and billing functionality integrated into Simfonics’ service delivery platform is provided by the MaxBill product suite from LogNet Systems and supports the automation of service delivery processes, handling of high transaction volumes and reconciliation of complex partnership relationships associated with M2M communications.

New customers using the managed service delivery platform from Simfonics include E-Plus in Germany, GTCom in Germany and Macheen in the United States.

“We are glad to increase our business on our managed service delivery platform,” said Uwe Lührig, CEO at Simfonics. “We see M2M as a growth area for mobile operators and are confident that our managed service delivery platform can help mobile operators capitalize on this rapidly expanding market opportunity. The MaxBill platform is key part of our M2M solution.”

The multiple play and multi-tenant capabilities of MaxBill enable the Simfonics managed service delivery platform to be utilized by a mobile operator for its M2M services only or its entire portfolio of mobile services.

“We are very happy with our successful partnership with Simfonics,” added Kirill Rechter, CEO of LogNet Billing. “We have high expectations for continued growth within the M2M billing space as well as other segments of mobile services.”
