Skyrack Telecom Roaming around the Tour De Yorkshire

Team Skyrack were focussed on a completely different kind of mobile roaming for this month’s inaugural Tour De Yorkshire cycle race. Swapping SIM’s for saddles, and electronics for electrolytes, Director Gavin Sweet rode through the terrible bank holiday weather to bring home a decent finish in the top 20% of his category. The ride featured over 7000 feet of climbing over 109km of the professional race circuit.

Sweet was sponsored by Skyrack Telecom and friends and family for the event and looks set to raise nearly £1000 for the Childrens Hospital Charity.

Speaking about the event, Sweet said

“It was very wet but thoroughly enjoyable, and we’re thrilled to have raised so much for a great cause. Skyrack isn’t just about telecoms, its about having a bit of fun and supporting the community.”

Skyrack is better known for its ground-breaking Mobile-X convergence services, that offer typical landline and office PBX features on a SIM, making a company’s fixed and mobile phones work together as a fully functioning business phone system. In addition to offering traditional mobile connectivity for calls, texts, data, and voicemail – it can also be configured to provide the services and functionality that a conventional wired or hosted PBX can offer.
