South West Communications Group’s success was evidenced by its implementation at Dorothy House Hospice Care which provides a technology blueprint for hospices and care homes to deliver excellent patient care now and in the future. It deployed Alcatel-Lucent's OmniPCX Enterprise BiCS telephone system integrated with access control and nurse call solutions as well as replacing its existing LAN infrastructure to meet the Hospice's changing communication needs.
The award was presented under the Alcatel-Lucent 'Converged Partner and Awards Programme' which provides a framework for partners to leverage Alcatel-Lucent's technology leadership in order to increase their own market share and value.
