STL and Samsung Host Technology Briefings at Force India F1

STL Communications and Samsung have held a successful series of Technology Briefings at Force India F1 team headquarters in Silverstone

The breakfast briefings were attended by over 80 delegates who heard presentations about the future of telecoms technology and the way that new Samsung IP products can enable smarter working within an organisation. Following each seminar, delegates enjoyed a tour of the Force India factory, getting up-close and personal with the F1 cars as well as finding out the inside story on life in the pit lane.

Adrian Collinson of Force India F1 spoke on how their relationship with STL and Samsung has helped the team save considerable costs on communications. With almost 300 staff and 500 computers across 3 sites, one of which roams across the world being trackside at every F1 race, the Force India IT team works closely with STL for installation, maintenance, line rental and calls.

STL is a Samsung Platinum Partner, the highest level of recognition awarded to only a handful of companies due to the exacting standards that Samsung requires to reach and maintain this level of accreditation. Peter Law, UK Sales Manager for Samsung commented, ”There are so many exciting new developments in telecoms that are changing the way businesses operate and it is important that organisations understand how technology can help with new working practises.”

Brendon Cross, STL’s Managing Director concludes, “These seminars provided an insight into the communication challenges faced by the Force India Formula One team which are just the same as for many other businesses. Real business benefits can be achieved by working with the latest technology.”
