Swyx Develops Next-Generation Cloud Solution

Cloud
Unified Communications (UC) vendor Swyx has further developed its cloud product

Now in the pilot phase, the new client software solution can be distributed via multiple servers flexibly depending on capacity, and differentiates itself through its extremely high scalability. The resource-saving operation and the modular range of UC features per user realise cost benefits for providers and end customers alike. In addition, the new solution supports Windows Azure Active Directory (WAAD), so that all Microsoft-based products automatically link with the UC application.

“Multi-tenant is a crucial milestone for us"

Since 2007, Swyx has been in the cloud and last year Deutsche Telekom selected the solution for its portfolio - now follows the next important step in the company’s cloud success story: “We have 60 percent growth, which is exactly the right time for us to invest in this product and bring it to the market", reported Swyx Chairman of the Board, Dr. Ralf Ebbinghaus. “In the development of a capable UC solution, we have integrated all our knowledge and experience gained in recent years and clearly position ourselves as a leader in technology and innovation.“

Attractive solution for service providers and channel

The target group for this flexible cloud solution is not only service providers, but also Swyx resellers who can extend their product range, when the multi-tenant solution is released in the Summer.

Windows Azure is the first platform on which Swyx places its cloud solution.

"For us it was a big plus that Swyx is not only strong in the on-premise business, but also has both feet in the cloud segment and so is ideally positioned to support the growing demand for integrated communication solutions.” describes Kai Göttmann, Director for Server, Tools & Cloud at Microsoft, on the background behind the cooperation with the UC specialist.
