T-Mobile tops YouGov mobile broadband survey again

T-Mobile’s mobile broadband service has been rated highest in more categories than any other mobile network operator in an independent YouGov survey of 2,068 mobile broadband users for the third time running.

Conducted in July 2009, the survey explores consumers’ use of mobile broadband. T-Mobile comes first in eight out of 15 customer satisfaction metrics, following on from its number one rankings in the April 2009 and January 2009 YouGov Dongle Tracker reports.

The study ranked T-Mobile UK above all other UK mobile operators with regards to offering the best value for money for data usage, as well as coming top in a range of customer-centric categories, including ease of use and installation, billing and customer service. Survey respondents also found T-Mobile to be fastest for upload and download speeds.

The results reflect T-Mobile’s commitment to making mobile access to the internet as simple and affordable as possible. Steve Mitchell, head of post-pay marketing for T-Mobile UK, said: “Our sustained success in what is probably the UK’s most comprehensive and regular sampling of mobile broadband customer satisfaction, shows that customers rate us highly for value for money and levels of service. Customers have the added assurance that we remain the only network to offer unlimited browsing without charging run-on rates."

The results of the YouGov report are based on the largest independent sample of mobile broadband users to be surveyed in the UK. YouGov’s technology and telecoms consultancy produces the Dongle Tracker Report to understand the use of mobile broadband, consumers’ satisfaction criteria and purchase intentions and what matters most to users when connecting to the internet on the move. Users of mobile broadband subscribed with Mobile Virtual Network Operators have been excluded from this analysis.
