TalkTalk Business Signs 8el as Latest EFM Partner

TalkTalk Business has signed a new partnership agreement with Reading based IP telephony provider 8el.

8el, which specialises in managed VOIP, ISP services and Wide and Local Area Network solutions to the mid-enterprise market, has partnered with TalkTalk Business to add Ethernet and EFM solutions to its connectivity portfolio.

In a move which bolsters 8el’s access technology suite, EFM orders have already been placed with end users nationwide across the legal, financial, wholesale and distribution and charity sectors.

EFM continues to be an area of growth for TalkTalk Business since launching to the channel in March this year. Benefiting from the unrivalled reach of the business telecoms provider’s Next Generation Network, EFM and Ethernet services are accessible over 1,800 enabled exchanges, representing more than 80 per cent coverage of the UK.

EFM offers a higher bandwidth than is achievable on traditional ADSL products, but is at a more competitive price point compared to other fibre-based Ethernet services - ideal for partners looking to bridge the gap in the data connectivity space.

Andy Hollingworth, director of wholesale at TalkTalk Business said: “Helping businesses to access a Next Generation Network is our key priority, enabling those organisations to future-proof their business and utilise Next Generation applications.

Welcoming 8el as the latest addition to our team of partners delivering Ethernet and EFM solutions nationwide marks our continued growth in the channel. An unprecedented demand for the NGN portfolio has driven our partner recruitment programme with new signings week on week. Working with 8el helps us in achieving our aim to deliver NG connectivity to the widest possible reach across the UK and we look forward to our ongoing partnership.”
