With ten staff and offices in Helmsley and Pocklington, Ryedale Telecommunications has outshone much larger competitors to win major contracts.
This vindicates managing director Alice Adams’ decision to reposition the eight-year-old company to reflect the increasing convergence of telecoms and IT. By creating partnerships with specialist IT businesses, Ryedale Telecommunications offers unrivalled expertise across the board.
It now operates as an independent consultancy dedicated to supplying and managing communication networks. The company advises businesses on which voice data and internet services would best suit their needs, designs bespoke telephone systems, recommends suppliers and provides comprehensive aftercare and support.
James Lucks joined as sales director in June and made an immediate impact. “From the start, James sharpened our focus and performance, helping us to win some major new business,” said Alice.
“There is no one else I would rather have on board. His professional knowledge and personal integrity are priceless assets to the company.”
James, who previously worked at Thus plc, one of the “big five” telecoms suppliers, said: “I could see how well Ryedale was doing – and how far it could go. It was a great opportunity to be part of something more intense, more personal and more enjoyable.”
Since James’s appointment, Ryedale Telecommunications has won the contract to set up a call centre for Richard Alexander Limited, Yorkshire’s premier motor group.
Meanwhile, RMI Recruitment, the national recruitment consultancy, asked Ryedale to provide all the telephony services for its head office in Leeds.
