Voice decisions have traditional been made at the other side of the business to data, often in the purchasing department, so in many organisations people are finding themselves responsible for both voice and data when only experienced and therefore comfortable with one area.
Vendors and resellers alike need to take into account this cultural shift and take time to understand the change in mindset that is required. The people element of the mix can not be underestimated and whilst technology will continue to evolve at high speed, voice and data decision makers may take a little longer to catch up.”
