TeleWare and Comtact Partner to Provide Telecom Services for Charities

TeleWare, a provider of both hosted and on-premise intelligent communication solutions for businesses and Service Providers, today announced a specialist service offering for Charities through a key UK partner Comtact.

The Comtact programme addresses the Telecoms needs of Charity organisations in the UK and has already resulted in projects with the Forest of Dean Housing Association and London Fire Benevolent Fund. The principle behind the programme is to provide telecoms services at a cost price to charities, allowing them to channel more of their resources to the causes they represent.

The Forest of Dean Housing Association comments “When we decided to improve our communications through our Telecoms, we contacted a number of suppliers to get competitive pricing, including Telecoms for Charities. Whilst we were initially sceptical of their promise to offer us their cost plus a handling fee on the services we needed, when we saw how they compared to the other three suppliers, we were astounded as to the difference in price. On top of this their service has been as good if not better than any of our other suppliers and we would recommend them to any charity looking to save money on their Telecoms services.

The partnership with TeleWare adds a range of telephony value-add services such as voicemail, faxmail and intelligent numbering, to the portfolio that Comtact is delivering through this programme. Delivery to the charity, as a hosted service requires a no-onsite support or technical expertise within the charity and, therefore, provides a very cost effective, low maintenance, low resource solution for an affordable monthly fee.

“The Comtact approach is refreshing and, we believe, has the capacity to get good traction in the market,” said Peter Orr, Sales Director for TeleWare. “This approach offers a solution that reflects the needs of the charity segment and provides a non-technical solution based on delivering a robust, understandable and simple service offering that will have market appeal and avoid the complex and difficult to compare solutions that are offered by many providers today,” added Orr.

“We want to take the science out of it – it is a commercial decision at the end of the day – we aim to provide our customers with answers to their needs in a few easy steps…” said Dominic List, Managing Director of Comtact.
