TeleWare Appoints Group Operations Director

TeleWare, the provider of intelligent communication applications for hosted and on-premise solutions for businesses and service providers, today announced the promotion of Nick Reaks to Group Operations Director

Nick’s brief will be to maintain and enhance the agility of the TeleWare Group. He assumes responsibility for the ‘joined-up’ management of activities across the TeleWare group of companies as well as for the timely delivery of projects, service introductions, developments and implementations.

“One of the reasons for TeleWare’s success in large UK corporate accounts has been our ability to adapt the product and respond rapidly to the changing business needs of our customers. As a UK based development team, we can provide a responsiveness and attention to specific customer problems that larger, more process-driven, companies cannot achieve,” said Reaks. “With the introduction of new products and new vendors into the voice applications market, it has become increasingly important for us to provide solutions through our System Integrator partner and work with their customers in a consultative role. This has led, naturally, to the creation of this new role and I am very excited to be able to assume these responsibilities at such a dynamic time,” added Reaks.

Reaks joined TeleWare in 2006 as Director of TeleWare’s Hosted Services operations and successfully led the hosted services team in their drive to mature and consolidate the hosted services intelligent eXchange (iX) platform, culminating in the new platform release in June 2007. In his new role as Group Operations Director, Reaks will be responsible for all lines of business, including TeleWare enterprise and hosted services and Private Mobile Networks operations and he will assume overall responsibility of the on time delivery of products against the company roadmap. He will be working closely with the existing Development Director, Paul Millar, and the Customer Services Director, Jill Hopkins, to ensure that products specified accommodate market requirements and are brought to market in a timely manner with all necessary support and operations processes in place.

Nick is a highly experienced manager with a comprehensive career spanning the past 23 years. He has held the posts of Finance Director, Sales Director and Chief Executive. Latterly, he held the position of General Manager for Efax Limited. As General Manager of Efax he increased the company’s turnover by 300% in only two years. In 2004 he led the sale of the company to j2 Global Communications. Nick then took up the positions of European Administration and Finance Director for j2 Global Operations (Europe) as well as General Manager for j2’s UK operations.

“We are delighted that Reaks has accepted this position. He has already demonstrated his ability to lead effectively and deliver to tight deadlines in challenging situations. We are confident he is going to continue to be a valuable contributor in his new role,” said Steve Haworth, CEO for TeleWare Group plc.

Reaks appointment will enable Paul Millar, Development Director, to work more closely with Geoff Haworth, the company’s Founder and Chairman, to increasingly focus on the long term product development plans and new technological opportunities available to TeleWare.
