TeleWare Joins Gartner “Visionaries”

TeleWare, a provider of intelligent hosted and on-premise communication solutions to businesses and service providers, has been included in the Gartner Magic Quadrant report for Unified Communications (UC), 2007. The report evaluates the performance of sixteen UC vendors based on their ability to execute and the completeness of their vision.

Gartner define Vendors in the Visionaries quadrant as those able to "demonstrate a clear understanding of the UC market and offer a strong and differentiating approach to one or more core areas. However, these vendors have either limited ability to execute across the entire set of requirements or have marketing and distribution limits to their ability to challenge the established leaders."

“The unified communication market is moving at a rapid pace and we still see the growing convergence between fixed and mobile telephony as one of our unique strengths,” comments Lesley Hansen, Group Marketing Director for TeleWare plc. “In my opinion, there are some great companies in the magic quadrant. However, TeleWare remains the only software vendor to deliver a solution that allows organisations to integrate their unified communications over IP, TDM, fixed and mobile infrastructures with a common set of applications and a single dial plan. This uniqueness is helping to drive our business in both the UK and Europe,” added Hansen.

TeleWare believes that software based unified communications solutions give flexibility back to the customer and break the traditional dependence on particular hardware vendors. Over the last year, TeleWare has delivered on the key goals of increasing its level of interoperability and integration with emerging standard based solutions such as Microsoft Live Communications Server, Novell GroupWise and Lotus Sametime.

“On our roadmap for Q4 is the rollout of our new standards-based video and web conferencing tools, which we believe will give us a most complete product portfolio and allow our clients more freedom in how they choose to deploy UC,” Hansen concludes.
