This year the team cycled from Whitehaven in Cumbria to South Shields a total of distance of 152 miles over the weekend of 3 – 5 June. The team represented almost all of the departments within TeleWare and raised over £750 which was split between two charities ‘Marie Curie Cancer Care’ and ‘Diabetes UK’. “It was the first time for most of the team, although the team consisted of 4 members of TeleWare who cycled the Coast-2-Coast in September last year (and had forgotten how challenging it was!)
The team encountered a wide variety of weather conditions over the 3 day ride – ranging from extremely hot and sunny on the first day, windy on the second day (a headwind, unfortunately) followed by rain on the last day. However, the team thoroughly enjoyed it, and perhaps will do it all again next year!”
