TeleWare/Private Mobile Networks Chart their 2007 Significant Events

Yorkshire based Teleware has reviewed their year for Comms Business Magazine readers charting what they see as the significant events in the progress of their company and products during the year.

January - Comms Factory qualified as the first TeleWare Principal Reseller with channel competency for TeleWare hosted applications. (In February Comms Factory extended their current partnership with TeleWare to include the Private Mobile eXchange product delivering the full portfolio of TeleWare’s intelligent applications over private mobile networks, including corporate mailbox facilities, call recording on-demand and instant conferencing).

Central Telecom announced the signing of an agreement with TeleWare Hosted Services to enable them to provide Central’s customers with a suite of feature rich business applications as a hosted service offering, including IP Centrex capabilities over their Voice over IP (VoIP) ready network.

NextGen Technologies, Ireland’s only IT security and services specialist distributor, announced that the company has partnered with TeleWare. With immediate effect, all of the TeleWare suite of hosted, feature-rich business applications, including IP Centrex, is available in Ireland through the NextGen network of partners.

Private Mobile Networks announced the formalisation of a business partnership with DigitalSkys Limited to assist in the development of their satellite GSM network services. The solutions provided will enable GSM coverage from standard mobile handsets in the local area, with backhaul connections through the DigitalSkys satellite network infrastructure, covering Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Asian sub-continent.

February - TeleWare announced that the Virtual Access Service Managed Gateway (SMG) family of CPE appliances has been approved for use with the TeleWare Telephony services.

Private Mobile Networks announced the launch of a general packet radio service (GPRS) solution to allow customers to take control of the rising cost of data services and Internet connectivity. This solution is an industry first and is available as an optional upgrade to Private Mobile eXchange, enabling business users to access their LAN infrastructure from a standard GSM enabled handset or data device over the private mobile network (PMN).

TeleWare announced a partnership with Scottish Voice and Data Specialists TBS to provide a fully supported telephone system portfolio offering maximum choice to their customers.

TeleWare announced that Azzurri has signed contracts as the first full portfolio partner.

March - TeleWare announced the release of a new version of its hosted Contact Centre service. The new features are aimed at ease-of-use and flexibility while maintaining the low monthly costs that make this a viable solution for small contact centre teams.

TeleWare announced the availability of an instant conferencing service on the TeleWare hosted services platform.

Private Mobile Networks announced the release of two standard packaged solutions for creating Private Mobile Office networks. Private Mobile Office makes use of standard GSM mobile handsets to deliver effective mobile communication in ‘island’ environments. An ‘island’ can be defined as being geographically or logistically remote from any ‘head office’ or corporate communication infrastructure.

April - TeleWare announced that all senior technical and sales personnel within their partner HashNine Managed Communications have, this month, completed a five day accreditation course. This makes HashNine the first TeleWare fully accredited Principal Reseller to provide hosted services to the small and mid market businesses in the South of England.

May - Private Mobile Networks announced the installation of a Private Mobile Office solution at Hygicare. Hygicare distribute products sourced from over 600 suppliers worldwide to a broad selection of customers. Hygicare has a customer base covering a broad market and size of company, including many household names; Health Trusts, schools, Plc’s, small independent butchers, farmers, transport, pubs and restaurants.

TeleWare announced the release of Presence Management on its IP Centrex and Applications Services hosted platforms. Presence Manager empowers users with enhanced communications capabilities, enabling them to know when one of their regular contacts (‘buddies’) is available to receive a telephone call.

TeleWare and Telindus signed a partnership agreement to provide enterprise customers with a single application platform that enables smooth migration from legacy PBXs to the IP world.

June - TeleWare announced the immediate availability of new web based interfaces to the full range of Application Builder products.

July - TeleWare announced the details of a new initiative to help its growing UK channel capitalise on the demand for IP telephony. TeleWare has partnered with Conjungo, a new business search portal and directory aimed at technology buyers, to deliver complete profiles on over 15 TeleWare partners across both hosted and on-premise equipment channels. These partner profiles will be available at the official launch of Conjungo planned for September of this year.

September - Private Mobile Networks announced it has been recognised by Frost & Sullivan for its 2007 Entrepreneurial Company Award in recognition of its role towards the advancement of private GSM networks in the United Kingdom.

Private Mobile Networks announced that their business partnership with DigitalSkys Limited, which has already resulted in the deployment of private GSM cells for specialist remote Oil and Gas services within the Middle East.

TeleWare announced that it has been included in the Gartner Magic Quadrant report for Unified Communications (UC), 2007.

TeleWare announced new capabilities within its web-based Service Manager deployment and configuration tools. Service Manager is used by TeleWare partners to set up customers’ deployments and profile the services required.

October - Private MobileNetworks announced, that they are moving ahead on a major project to develop an integrated voice and data communications station for rapid deployment with Link Telecom, an organisation specialising in providing business and personal mobile phones, tariff deals, mobile phone accessories and voice and data products.

Private Mobile Networks announced the launch of an integrated communications services and satellite solution providing access to a comprehensive range of voice and data services when and where needed, even in the most remote and challenging of locations.

Created through a combination of satellite, security, mobile voice and data services, the solution is the result of the partnership of Link Telecom, Orbit Research and Private Mobile Networks.
