The Force is with STL

Oxfordshire communications provider STL has this week signed a three-year agreement to supply the Force India F1 team with support and services.

Commenting on the agreement STL Managing Director Brendon Cross (pictured with Team Principal Colin Kolles) said, 'we are delighted to renew our agreement with Force India and it's particularly appropriate in the week of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone which is also the home of the team.' Cross went on to say, 'F1 is the ideal testing ground for the services we provide and Force India is an excellent showcase for our telephone systems and peripheral equipment.'

Colin Kolles added, 'we are delighted to have secured the services of STL for the next three years and we look forward to working with them'.

The Samsung telephone systems that STL support allow the team to communicate seamlessly regardless of where the Race or Test teams are in the world. Use of the very latest IP technology means that only one extension number is published for each member of staff regardless of whether they are in the back of a support vehicle or behind their desk in the factory.

'Using Samsung technology STL have really managed to streamline team communications whilst at the same time reducing costs', said Adrian Collinson, Head of IT at Force India F1.
