The SCTE Celebrates 70 Years

The SCTE, the Society for Broadband Professionals, is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. To commemorate the special occasion, the Society will host its annual dinner on 27 June at the Tower of London. The prestigious event includes a four-course dinner, entertainment and networking opportunities with experts from the broadband industry.

"This is an exciting year for the SCTE, as we look back on 70 years of bringing quality education, training and networking opportunities to the global broadband industry," said Dr. Roger Blakeway, Ph.D., FIEE, FSCTE, CEng, President, SCTE. "SCTE training is the widespread standard for young technicians in the field of broadband telecommunications and for those wanting to advance their careers. We look forward to providing additional professional development options to our members in 2015."

The SCTE's main goal is to advance the level of knowledge and professional standing of its members in the industry through certification and accreditation. The Society offers a wide range of professional development opportunities to expand its members' knowledge base and qualifications, including comprehensive training courses and on-site training days, individual course books, technical lecture meetings, online video presentations, conferences and exhibitions.
