THUS has announced a raft of organisational changes, chief among them the acquisition of the carrier Your Communications, in a bid to further accelerate their business plans to create a nationwide alternative carrier for business users.
Your Comms has been touted for sale for some time and at a price of £58m some say that owners United Utilities have got a fair price for extracting themselves out of the telecoms market.
Legend Communications, the voice and data company headed up by former Tory cabinet minister Lord Baker of Dorking, has been struggling to maintain momentum and margin despite opening a new state of the art data centre recently. The sale to THUS for around £11m seems good value for both parties and will help THUS’s Demon in the UK.
At the same time THUS is disposing of its’ Demon business in Holland.
