Timico Unveils Unique Channel Sales Opportunity

Timico has launched its Business Partner Programme designed to boost its ability to deliver its solutions to customers and help them to increase productivity and profitability. Timico is developing its indirect channel to market and is actively looking for channel partners to sell and manage its solutions. Distributors and VARs wishing to extend their portfolio and gain experience in the convergence and mobile VoIP (voice over internet protocol) market are of particular interest.

“With the recent addition of its VoIP for Business service to its solutions portfolio, Timico makes available the benefits of converged communications, previously the preserve of large companies, to SMEs. Many smaller enterprises know that converged voice and data services could help them enormously, but with such a proliferation of technologies and suppliers on the market, many SMEs find it challenging to source, install and maintain the services they require. Timico is uniquely placed to help SMEs make informed choices and to provide them with a bespoke, outsourced service,” says Matthew Gimlette, commercial director, Timico.

Established in the spring of 2004, Timico is led by a team of highly industry players – some, including Chairman Tim Radford were part of the Project Telecom team. Its mission is to provide SMEs with tailored solutions that will enable them to take advantage of the broadening range of voice and data services now available including fixed line, mobile and internet voice/data. With the recent addition of its hosted VoIP for Business service developed in partnership with Nortel Networks, Timico now holds a unique market position in the UK with an attractive portfolio of services. Atlas Internet, a wholly owned subsidiary of Timico and specialist b2b ISP provides the connectivity for IP services and is one of only three ISPs in the UK providing Quality of Service over broadband. Customers gain from having one clear but detailed bill and a ‘one-stop-shop’ approach with a single point of contact for customer services.

“We believe the time is right for SMEs to take advantage of converged communication services and Timico is uniquely placed to assist them. We will carefully select our indirect channel partners to help us penetrate further into the SME marketplace in order to deliver the benefits of our integrated communications services.

“Being a Timico Business Partner will involve much more than the sale of phones and networking equipment. We are not talking about a one-off sale but uncapped, ongoing revenue from system support and maintenance. We are also looking for partners that can handle our full portfolio of fixed, mobile and internet communications, so that a tailored solution can be developed to suit a customer’s needs,” continues Matthew Gimlette, commercial director.
