Tiscali is the latest ISP to begin an LLU trial. Invitations to take part in the trial have been sent out to customers on around 27 exchanges, offering them a place on the trial that should see maximum connection speeds between 4Mbps and 8Mbps.
The trial is intended to test the processes of moving customers from the existing Tiscali service onto their own LLU platform, as well build the core knowledge for running a LLU service. The trial is expected to last for a couple of months, and may roll out to a further 200 exchanges later in the year.
