Tiscali has launched a free VoIP service, called Tiscali Netphone which lets anyone who downloads the free program use their PC to make free calls to other PCs, send and receive faxes, text messages and make low cost international and national calls to landlines.
Users can also manage their inbound calls by using an in-built answering service. The VoIP service is available to everyone, regardless of their internet provider.
Calls to UK landlines are charged at 1p per minute and UK mobiles are 12p per minute. International calls from 3p per minute and Netphone's text message service costs 6p per message sent to any UK mobile phone.
