Titan Telecom Race to Save Lives

Alex Heslip, Head of Sales at business telecommunication company Titan Telecom, is in training to take part in a two part race to raise money in support of Great Ormond Street Hospital’s new MRI unit.

The first part of the race has Alex and his team enduring 389 nautical miles of sailing in the Three Peaks Yacht Race, battling fierce tides and rocks along the route from Wales to Scotland.

Alex will then complete a 72 mile race, climbing 14,000 feet to reach the summits of the UK’s three highest peaks; Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis.

“This is a once in a life time opportunity for me, a real challenge that gives me the chance to raise money to help save lives.” said Alex, Head of Sales at Titan Telecom.

“Titan Telecom are sponsoring my team for this event, all the money raised will go directly to Great Ormond Street. We’re heavily into training at the moment; I’ll be running the 26.2 mile Edinburgh marathon in preparation for this event. Such an extreme race requires extreme training!” continues Heslip.

“I approach this race as I approach my work, with focus and determination. This attitude has helped Titan Telecom recently sign its 100th channel partner, and has seen a 1700% increase in sales over the past year.”

Titan Telecom is a subsidiary of Universal Utilities which also owns telecommunications provider Unicom.
