VanillaIP, a multi award winning and leading provider of on-demand, cloud based communications to the UK channel, today announced interoperability testing and certification with Yealink’s range of voice and video SIP endpoints. Partners and customers, using the VanillaIP Hosted PBX service for cost reduction, scalability and functionality improvements will now benefit from the full range of Yealink phones, including the VP530 video phone.
This brings a number of immediate benefits to VanillaIP Partners according to Dave Dadds, MD at VanillaIP; “This joint initiative combines Yealink’s highly featured endpoints, including video calling support, at attractive and competitive price points. In line with our ethos of simplified deployment, all the Yealink phones can be auto-provisioned within our Uboss portal for plug-and-play installation. This automation extends beyond creating the config file for the user, but also allows our Partner’s to specify individual button functions, push their logos to the screen and deploy dial-by-name on-screen directory.”
VanillaIP Partners can now offer wider choice of telephone handset to better match the device with the functional needs of the user. Foremost amongst these is Yealink’s support for three party video calling via the VP530 desktop video phone. This handset combines the capabilities of on-demand video, true multi-media, integrated into a fully-featured deskphone with an intuitive user interface.
Dadds adds “Because the VP530 is standards based, it can seamlessly work with other video endpoints on our platform, such as the Bria video softphone on desktops or iPads.”
“We are very pleased to have achieved interoperability with VanillaIP,” said Steve Watt’s, Head of New Technology at Yealink UK. “This announcement is the result of close work between our respective R&D teams to ensure the best possible integration and feature transparency between our handsets and VanillaIP’s Uboss platform.”
