The Broadsoft Unity Wall Board is a standard desktop call centre agent and supervisor wall board. “We launched the Unity Wall Board at the show,” commented David Dadds, managing director at VanillaIP. “It extends the product reach, abilities and functionality, and allows resellers to deploy hosted B2B services, and improves on what customers can expect from their PBX systems.”
At the show, VanillaIP also launched the Uboss Device Manager, to allow resellers to add any Broadsoft-approved device onto the system. Uboss is a web based interface that acts as a management overlay across the VanillaIP network for resellers and end users. Its real power is in providing a single, centralised portal for all service assignment and billing, greatly reducing the reseller’s customer service burden. In this way it has a critical role in simplifying the provision of new users on the system by combining all the elements that are required to deliver the specified service to the customer, said Dadds.
As well, VanillaIP demonstrated the Broadsoft Unity Desktop Client, which releases the full capabilities of Broadsoft’s BroadWorks (which combines a comprehensive range of VoIP applications in a single platform) at the user desktop. In providing real time visibility of colleagues, Unity improves workgroup collaboration, bringing users closer to each other and simplifying internal and external communication.
Dadds remarked: “We are slowly increasing our reseller base and are hoping to increase our brand awareness and sign new resellers across the voice and data sector here at Convergence Summit South. Everything we do is 110% about hosted applications, making sure they work and making sure resellers can make money out of it.”
On the growth of the hosted market, Dadds added: “The number of dealers involved in hosted and their size as businesses, and the speed of this market’s progression are all expanding rapidly. It’s been a slow burn, but this year we have seen a definite pick up.”
