Varlink Expands Honeywell Offering

Distributors
Varlink have expanded their Honeywell offering with the addition of the Intermec product set to their portfolio of barcode scanners, mobile computers and vehicle mount computers.

Honeywell completed its acquisition of Intermec in September 2013, adding RFID, voice and printer solutions to the existing Honeywell portfolio of mobile solutions.

Intermec by Honeywell offers a ‘Clone and Go’ solution for their mobile computers, ensuring the initial setup of multiple Intermec devices is as smooth as possible. Clone and Go allows one device to be configured with the correct settings and then applied to all other Intermec devices using an issued 2D barcode. This 2D barcode can then be kept on file for use with future devices or when any configuration issues arise.

The Intermec product range also includes the 70 Series, a family of ultra-rugged mobile computers with the choice of three ergonomic designs on one common platform, allowing workers across various areas of the business to use this single platform for ease and simplicity, while also helping to drive down costs for the companies.

The addition of the Intermec range will only strengthen Varlink’s existing portfolio of Honeywell products by providing the user with a full solution and enhancing their market with the introduction of RFID mobile devices.

Varlink CEO Mike Pullon said: “The broadening of our relationship with Honeywell is welcome as it extends the range of products that we can provide to our expanding Honeywell customer base in the UK. We believe that UK based Mobile Computing based solution providers, EPoS System houses and Auto ID resellers will benefit from having these products stocked in the UK for day of ordering collection or low cost next day delivery.”
