Varlink Introduces New Rugged Tablet

Varlink is pleased to announce an addition to its Getac range with the new fully rugged, compact and versatile T800 tablet.

Small enough to carry in one hand and weighing just 880g, the Getac T800 can enhance the operational performance of a remote worker without compromising on performance. The Getac T800 is not limited to its working environment and with an IP rating of 65, also meet MIL-STD 810G. Its ability to withstand drops of up to 6ft provides the ideal solution for those industries demanding fully rugged tablet decides.

The 8.1” multi touch sunlight readable display (with optional digitizer), ultra fast WiFi connection and an average of 8 hours battery life demonstrates that the Getac T800 has been designed with the remote worker in mind; with particular focus on those in the field service, utilities and public safety sectors.

The capacitive touch-screen allows for fast typing speed, picking up even the slightest touch and is highly responsive without the need for pressure. The T800 uses revolutionary LumiBond technology to feature a display that is easier to read and offers better contrast and clearer colours than any other rugged tablet display.

Like other models in the Getac range, the T800 comes with an optional 1D or 2D barcode scanner to meet end user requirements, enhancing the work life and productivity of a remote worker. It also offers an optional SnapBack add on Smart-Card and contactless RFID reader for efficient employee management and enhanced customer engagement.

The T800 boasts long lasting power with up to 8 hours on a single battery charge as well as optional infinite and uninterrupted battery life with a SnapBack battery add on. This feature allows you to continue working without the need to shut down the tablet to charge the battery.

With 4G capabilities, the Getac T800 is designed to be used in the field and with its auto tuneable 8-band antenna, is capable of switching between bands swiftly. Alongside the 4G, the T800 also offers two times the search capacity, faster location positioning and improved accuracy over competitors.

The Getac T800, which comes with Windows 8.1 operating system as standard down-gradable to Windows 7, has been packed with power and technology, built with the latest Intel Pentium N3530 2.16 GHz Quad-Core processor meaning that the tablet can remain running at full speed where other tablets processors would fall behind.
