Towards the end of 2012, SIPHON completed their acquisition of VCOMM UK Ltd and VCOMM now operate as the distribution business unit within SIPHON, now a 100% owned subsidiary.

The acquisition has allowed SIPHON to continue its expansion in delivering leading Unified Communication Solutions to Hosted Telephony Providers and Resellers. SIPHON’s customers noted VCOMM’s skills and values in cloud based platforms and technologies so the acquisition brought about a position where VCOMM could leverage their strong technical skills on SIP and VoIP and bring them to Voice Resellers, IT Resellers as well as Cloud Based Providers.

The VCOMM team drive innovation and an integrated product portfolio but in particular, are specialists in providing Microsoft Lync solutions and this area is experiencing huge growth. VCOMM pride themselves on the unique position they hold within the channel with their engineering support skills, aswell as their product portfolio which they also believe to be unique in complementing their Lync solutions.

Managing Director Steve Harris has spent the beginning of this year focusing on getting to know VCOMM inside and out, with the vision of taking the strengths and capabilities of SIPHON to create an even stronger business with VCOMM.

Looking ahead, the VCOMM team promise to provide fully tested and integrated products with a comprehensive service and support wrap to all their customers. Harris states “We deliver this promise to all our customers to enable them to deliver a robust and scalable service to their end users.”

Harris comments on the recent acquisition, “There is genuinely great synergy between SIPHON and VCOMM and the acquisition was a great opportunity for SIPHON to both expand its product portfolio and service capabilities. It was also a chance to continue to grow the business in the UK. The companies are united in helping Hosted providers and resellers drive UC innovation whilst most importantly, providing them with the technical support and engineering skills to sell, deploy and manage the technology.”
