Vegastream and VoIP Unlimited Partner for Interoperability

VoIP Unlimited, the Dorset based provider of SIP based telephony services is working with IP Gateway vendor Vegastream as an interoperating hardware partner with their SIP gateway devices.

"We see a mutually beneficial relationship in working together in the VoIP marketplace." Said Steve Bieniek, VoIP Unlimited’s Sales Director.

"In a dispersed network environment, Gateways generally need a SIP service provider to connect them to and a SIP service provider like VoIP Unlimited needs to be able to operate with quality hardware devices for the Telecoms and IT VARs."

He continues, "Gateway devices can significantly prolong the lifespan of a PBX and can help reduce both national and international call charges by routing calls over the internet. This is a great device for new market entrants to look into."

Andy Barrow, Regional Sales Director at Bracknell based Vegastream said "The emergence of SIP as the recognised standard for VOIP has brought with it concerns of interoperability between various manufacturers of SIP products. With our own SIP stack and mature product offering, we are pleased to be recognised as leaders in the field of VOIP technology. Our tests with VoIP Unlimited went extremely well and we are delighted to be able to announce this partnership which brings real benefits to those wishing to utilise this service. Our range of VoIP Gateway devices support both analogue and digital systems and with the rich feature-set including powerful routing tables, will provide a solution for companies of all sizes.”
