VegaStream Extends Benefits of VanillaIP Service

Telephony media gateway vendor VegaStream has announced successful compatibility with VanillaIP that will allow the independent provider of hosted telephony and application suites to ease the provisioning of VoIP to a wider business market. The agreement offers resellers an additional revenue stream by seamlessly interconnecting customers’ existing PBXs to the VanillaIP service using Vega IP Gateways.

“VoIP is becoming increasingly attractive to all size of businesses due to the lower communication costs and the flexibility of the new services it enables. Many companies can be denied the opportunity though, as they need to protect the often, large investment in their existing PBX environment. Gateways bring an evolutionary approach to IP, reducing the cost and disruption of adoption, in addition to retaining previous investments,” said Steve Davis, VP Sales and Marketing, VegaStream.

“Interoperability with VanillaIP brings VoIP within the reach of a larger number of companies and will enable its channel partners to tap into new markets and revenues, and expand the penetration of the VanillaIP service.”

“The VanillaIP hosted telephony suite, built on Broadsoft technology, is a compelling economic model bringing the versatility and feature rich applications of IP to all businesses and offering our channel partners key differentiators to protect revenues and retain customers,” said Dave Dadds, Managing Director, VanillaIP. “VegaStream gateways are an attractive and resilient proposition and add additional flexibility to VanillaIP by extending the capabilities of our service, and helping our channel partners access new customer bases.”
