Vertu announces new president

Luxury handset manufacturer, Vertu, has announced it has bought in Perry Oosting as new president for the firm.

Following a strong record of growth for Vertu under outgoing president Alberto Torres, Oosting plans to continue the trend with an emphasis on strong portfolio management, natural diversification of its products and exploring major growth opportunities with various channels in both mature and emerging markets across the globe.

Oosting commented: “I am honoured to have the opportunity to work with such an exciting and pioneering brand, and to continue to build upon its success with some prosperous opportunities for growth in this important new luxury segment.”

Based at the company head quarters in Hampshire, Perry Oosting replaces Alberto Torres, following his appointment as senior vice president of global product portfolio and product management at Nokia, and commences with immediate effect.
