Virgin Media gets pretty in pink with Alcatel-Lucent

Mobile phone manufacturer Alcatel Mobile Phones has announced the launch of the VM202 exclusively with Virgin Media. Virgin Media will be the first to receive this handset in the UK market and will have a one month market lead, as well as a colour exclusive with the ‘Dazzle Pink’ handset.

With its sleek and stylish design the VM202 is designed for people on the go, its features have been enhanced to allow users to stay in contact with their networks wherever they are thanks to the slide out QWERTY keyboard. This handset is reassuringly robust yet compact and is set to shake up the existing competition in the pay as you go market with its capabilities and amazing price.

The VM202 will be the first Alcatel Mobile Phone to include a Micro SD card with purchase, with 1GB of memory courtesy of Virgin Media. With the free 1GB memory card included, users can store all their favourite photos, songs and emails on their handset. Functional and entertaining, the VM202 offers direct access to many online widgets such as weather and news.

Practical and soft to the touch, this compact slider features both a traditional keypad and a full QWERTY keyboard. With the phone held upright, navigate through the menus using the traditional keypad or flick out the slider to automatically switch the screen to landscape to browse the web or quickly type longer messages.

Equipped with easy access to Facebook, Twitter, Instant Messenger, email (such as Hotmail, Gmail and Yahoo!) and Opera Mini to enhance web browsing; other key features include an MP3 player, 3.5mm standard audio jack, FM radio with RDS which can also be used as an alarm clock, VGA camera and up to 480 hours standby time.
