Virgin Media shakes market with new monthly tariffs

Virgin Media has announced the launch of its new range of pay monthly tariffs.

Available from today, Virgin Media’s new pay monthly range includes a market beating £18 handset tariff over 18 months, beating other providers on minutes and at least matching inclusive texts, undercutting its competitors by £2 per month and offering a much stronger bundle, the company claimed.

A new £25 tariff is also being launched with an inclusive offer of unlimited web browsing.

Virgin Media’s mobile customers will also benefit from ‘Unlimited’ incentives on a number of tariffs including: Unlimited Text messaging; Unlimited Web browsing from your phone; Unlimited Virgin mobile to Virgin mobile calls (this offer is exclusive to Virgin Media broadband, TV or landline customers).

Graeme Oxby, managing director of mobile at Virgin Media, said: “Our new tariffs set the standard for pay monthly contracts. We’re offering consumers outstanding value and much greater choice, with hundreds of minutes, countless texts and endless web browsing included in their monthly package. Mobile from Virgin Media offers a compelling alternative to more expensive, long term contracts and we’re bringing all the benefits of the UK’s leading entertainment and communications company right into the customers’ pocket.”

The new tariffs have been designed to further enhance the bundle offers for mid to high end contracts for handset and SIM only tariffs.

Virgin Media customers with a broadband, TV or landline service will also benefit from inclusive Virgin mobile to Virgin mobile calls when they choose any 18 month contract or SIM only tariff.
