Westcon to Simplify and Accelerate Onboarding Process

Distributor Westcon Group has introduced a new onboarding tool, designed to help resellers accelerate success by simplifying vendor certification process and providing a range of special commercial packages. The tool is available through Westcon's

ConvergencePoint programme.

Westcon says it has worked very closely with its vendor and customer community to build a tool that makes the onboarding experience more efficient and manageable. "withWestcon" is now available to select new and existing resellers, who wish to grow their business with Westcon.

The distributor adds that the tool is especially valuable for resellers looking to expand their manufacturer offerings, which can ultimately lead to both larger deals and higher sales margins. "withWestcon" helps resellers seamlessly navigate the certification process online, eliminating the confusion from what can be very often a laborious and time consuming process for resellers.

Runa MacLeod, UK Marketing Director, Westcon Convergence, commented, "We understand how important it is for our customers to be able to offer multi-vendor solutions to fit their specific customer base. Our new tool, withWestcon, makes the onboarding process more achievable by providing resellers with everything they need in a single environment. The unique special offers are specifically designed to reduce the commercial obstacles resellers face when taking on a new vendor and enable them to reach and exceed revenue goals in a shorter space of time."

One of the tool's key differentiating aspects is that resellers can complete the onboarding process and measure their individual progress with multiple vendors, which so far include leading networking manufacturers such as Avaya, Nortel and Extreme Networks, with others set to follow in the coming months.

Paul Phillips, Regional Director UK and Ireland of Extreme Networks, commented: "withWestcon is an elegant solution to onboarding, which until now has been a long and difficult process fraught with roadblocks. This tool is good for both the manufacturers and the customers, since it increases product competency while decreasing time to revenue."

Dave Hamer, Director of London-based Redwood Telecommunications, added: "withWestcon helps eliminate the often time consuming tasks associated with onboarding and vendor accreditation and lets my staff focus on selling. The programme provides the right blend of support services such as training, professional services and demonstration equipment which help accelerate our success. Overall, a very welcome tool to the ConvergencePoint programme."
