Zen Internet Appoints Business Development Manager

Internet Service Provider Zen Internet has appointed David Smith as its new Business Development Manager.

Zen says Smith brings a wealth of experience from the Telecommunications industry having held senior positions at a number of blue chip organisations. He joins the sales team bringing an increased focus on developing business with Corporate customers and Channel Partners. He will also be involved in the development of sales training and the sales team’s strategy and planning.

Immediately prior to joining Zen, Smith worked for BT plc. where for the last four years he was Zen’s Account Manager working closely with the Zen team on the roll out of BT’s 21CN Network.

In addition Smith worked in BT’s Indirect Channel Partner Recruitment and headed-up its ICT Chapter. Whilst at BT, he also ran sales teams supporting major business accounts for organisations in the Retail and Defence sectors. His previous roles includes technical sales and sales management positions within the Telecoms and IT Industries working for Cable & Wireless and Hewlett Packard.

“Zen is well known as a Broadband provider, but can already offer a range of business services including IP VPN and hosting solutions. As Business Development Manager I will be building on Zen’s already firm relationships with its Corporate customers and Channel Partners.”
