Zen Internet awarded Which? Recommended Home Phone Provider

Zen Internet has been awarded Which? Recommended Home Phone Provider for the very first time.

After maintaining its Which? Recommended Broadband Provider status for the fourteenth time in a row last month, Zen is now also a Which? Recommended Home Phone Service Provider. Zen’s Recommended Home Phone Provider status revealed five stars for accuracy of bills and customer service and four stars for value for money.

‘Previously only a broadband provider, Zen Internet has launched a standalone home phone service and, with a Customer Score of 79% from our latest survey, it is one of only two full phone service providers to be a Which? Recommended Provider and gets good ratings for value for money and accuracy of bills,’ said Which?

‘This is the first time Zen has been recommended Home Phone Provider by Which? and to be only one of three providers that made it onto the list is fantastic news. Zen’s Home Talk and Business Talk services aim to provide calls packages that would see our customers save considerable amounts on their phone bill quickly and easily. They also provide our customers with the confidence that these services come with the same high level of service and support as Zen’s award winning Broadband. Introducing these new services clearly demonstrates our commitment to provide the best ISP service in the UK,” said Andrew Saunders, Head of Product Management and Marketing.

Not content with the Which? Recommended Home Phone Service Provider accolade, Zen has significantly enhanced its phone line products with inclusive calls. Both Zen’s Home Talk Plus and Business Talk Plus customers benefit from an increase in inclusive calls from 1,000 to 5,000 minutes per month with free 0845 and 0870 calls now included in addition to free UK land line calls.

It’s free and very easy to transfer an existing telephone line to Zen and in line with its Broadband services, Zen has a minimum one month contract for Home Talk and Business Talk. Call charges with Zen offer significant savings compared with other providers. This is because unlike most other providers, Zen does not have a minimum call set up or call connection fee for any calls to UK landline, mobile or international telephone numbers - Zen believes customers should only be charged for the time they are talking.

The Zen Home Talk range of residential telephone lines services when combined with its Broadband service provides the ideal solution for remote and home based workers.

2,789 Which? members with a standalone home phone service responded to the Which? online survey carried out in April 2012. Overall it rated 8 phone service providers for accuracy of bills, customer service and value for money. The Customer Score combines how members rate their home phone provider for overall satisfaction, and how likely they'd be to recommend their provider to a friend.

The star ratings for individual satisfaction elements are based on how each provider does for this aspect in comparison with other providers.
