A number of Zen’s key partners attended the event which was held at the Forest of Arden Hotel in the Midlands. The aim was to help partners understand how to make the most of Zen’s portfolio of products and services, as well as discussing trends in the market place and networking sessions.

Partners were also given the opportunity to attend product seminars during the day covering subjects including the Cloud, fibre optic broadband, IP VPN and Zen’s SIP Trunk solution.

An exciting conclusion to the day was the inaugural Zen Partner awards. I always find it very useful to get an insight into the bigger picture from Zen and to meet other partners. I know we are a small player with Zen, let alone in the IT and communications market in general, but we have always, and still feel now, that we are very much part of things. We look forward to continuing to work with Zen especially with some of the interesting changes and new products coming through soon.”

On the day Partners learnt how they can take advantage of Network Convergence opportunities using Zen’s connectivity portfolio including MPLS based IP VPN solutions and discover how Zen’s hosting portfolio can enable them to offer cloud computing solutions. The Zen team also went through the fibre optic broadband plans for the future.

“The day was a real success. It was a great opportunity to meet with our partners and work with them to develop mutually beneficial relationships and identify opportunities to grow their business, focusing on elements of the Zen portfolio that complement their business strategy,’” said Andrew Saunders.

“It was also a pleasure to award our partners for their continued support and contribution to the business. We are already looking forward to future events.”

Zen is now offering "up to 100Mbps" fibre optic broadband services. This exciting development in Internet access technology is delivering even faster download speeds of “up to 100Mbps” by connecting fibre optic broadband directly into home or office premises.

Zen is the first ISP to be running the “up to 100Mbps” commercial trial in the four exchange areas of Bradwell Abbey (Milton Keynes), Highams Park, York and Chester South. It is already seeing download speeds that frequently exceed 90Mbps, more than 10 times the UK’s average broadband speed.

In addition to the four exchanges a further seven are in the early stages of having “up to 100Mbps” fibre optic broadband services deployed. These are Ilford, Ashford (Middlesex), Wembley, St Austell, Leytonstone, Exeter and Forest Hill.
