The chairman of the judging panel Sam Dawkins of Club Communications on announcing the winner at the FCS AGM said: “The judges were impressed with the diversity of the entries submitted which indicates the creativity that exists in the competitive fixed telecoms sector. Innovation is one of the key criteria the judges were looking for and the entry from Zimo, which provides a completely new approach to automating charitable donations, demonstrated a level of innovative thinking that led the judges to a unanimous decision.

On receiving the award from Amy Chalfen from the award sponsor Openreach, Kieron James, CEO of Zimo Communications Ltd said, “We were runners-up when the award was first introduced in 2006, so we’re absolutely delighted that two years of technical innovation and commitment to the highest levels of customer service have been recognised by the judges. We have attracted some incredibly talented individuals to Zimo over the last three years and this award is a tribute to their tremendous work in developing world-class products.”
