Zycko and Aastra join up to deliver new voice communication

Distributor Zycko has joined forces with Aastra, to deliver voice communication solutions based on Aastra’s leading family of Open Standards SIP terminals.

The commercial partnership will strengthen both companies’ prospective reach in the British and Irish markets and enable the expansion of voice communication technologies, to deliver the highest quality products to existing voice channels.

Aastra develops and markets telephony systems which are based on key technologies such as IP and SIP for voice-data convergence. Aastra’s extensive SIP phone range includes desk-based and mobile terminals aimed at the business user market. The SIP phones with XML browser are designed to integrate with a number of Aastra call managers and, because they are based on open standards, they can also be used with PBXs from other vendors.

Furthermore, Aastra offers a highly scalable and robust SIP DECT solution.

Zycko Group Sales Director, David Galton-Fenzi, said: “Working with Aastra, we will continue to develop IP and SIP technologies with an emphasis on openness, providing our customers with scalable solutions to meet their business needs. The partnership is an extension of our success in this market and will ensure we are positioned to meet the growing demand.”

Aastra Sales Manager, Anne Warren said: “Zycko was chosen as a vendor of choice based on its professionalism and proven track record of delivering results as well as its shared focus and approach to the open standards market. Meanwhile, Aastra brings its market leading solutions to the partnership as well as its expertise in business telephony.”

Anne added: “Zycko has a good reputation within the channel and is recognised by its resellers for the value it adds. Together with Zycko, Aastra will continue to work closely with all partners ensuring we continue to meet communication technology needs, while exceeding their expectations for value and performance.”
