Communications equipment maker Avaya said on Tuesday its quarterly net income rose, although revenue fell slightly due to weaker U.S. sales.
Avaya said its fiscal third-quarter income rose to $55 million, or 12 cents per share, from $44 million, or 10 cents a share, in the same quarter a year earlier.
Revenue fell 1.6 percent to $1.276 billion, the company said. U.S. revenues fell 8 percent.
Avaya recently agreed to be acquired by private equity firms TPG Capital and Silver Lake.
