[Read in husky, sultry female voice] This is not just any smartphone; this is the Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone, the slimmest, most powerful, brightest and sexiest device in the Samsung portfolio so far.

[And back to your normal voice] Coming to UK shops on 1 May, the Galaxy S II, AKA GT-I9100, is an Android 2.3 Gingerbread device that offers Samsung’s Super AMOLED Plus screen technology for super bright viewing, and is faster than roadrunner, with thanks to its dual-core 1.2GHz processor.

Put together, these two feature alone mean it is great for watching movies or playing games, and with its ‘organic’ LED technology, Super AMOLED Plus, the device automatically saves energy, so you can watch content for longer. The dual-core processor makes switching between apps and loading web pages fast, and 3D hardware means games and videos can be loaded and played with ease.

Galaxy S II includes: HSPA and WiFi; Bluetooth 3.0+HS; an 8 megapixel camera with 1080p HD recording and playback and a front facing 2 megapixel camera; Samsung’s patented AllShare technology to share pictures, movies, and music with other devices; and Samsung’s new Kies Air that lets people manage their smartphone content from their PC via local WiFi connections.
