Cosy Comms-Solutions

This years comms-solutions event was more intimate than many of the exhibitions this industry throws at us on regular occasions throughout the year.

The stage was Wembley Stadium, the timing was the beginning of the quarter and there were even some pull-ins including Poker lessons from a pro and ex-England playmaker Paul Merson, but it was the cosiness of the event that proved to be its strength, providing exhibitors with genuine time to spend with those attending.

Lindsay Cooper, Marketing Executive for Redstone Mobile and Vicky Brame, Data Specialist also of Redstone Mobile, spoke kindly of the response achieved at Comms Solutions 2008. “The show has been both interesting and informative, and the feedback we have received has been extremely positive”, said Lindsay. Vicky added that there are interesting times ahead for Redstone Mobile and this was a good platform to introduce new products and services to a select group of visiting dealers.

Our very own application specialist, Tony Cossington was at the event to get the low down on some of the newest applications on offer, and to keep up to date with all the goings on. “In terms of application providers, there weren’t too many faces out to play, which is a shame due to the fact that these events are perfect for these guys to get in the face of the distributors and re-sellers, however there were a few benefiting from being the only people at the party.”

Both Fone Logistics and Data Select commented on the fact that in terms of visitors, this exhibition was one that seemed to demonstrate a quality not quantity approach, as those who attended were keen to hear what was being said, and not a sea of people looking for branded pens and other stand give-aways.
